Van Mahotsav 2018

Ever since its inception in 1950, Van Mahotsav is being celebrated with great fervor every year. Keeping in sync with the celebrations, DLF World School, has always taken the initiative to organize an awareness rally for the same. This year the mission was to spread awareness against plastic pollution.They were all pumped up with excitement to spread awareness among the citizens of AVJ Heights Society . The rally entitled, "Ban Plastics - Stop plastic pollution", was flagged off by the Headmistress, Ms. Anupam Singh.Students accompanied by their teachers, took a round of the society chanting slogans and waving flags. All the children enthusiastically walked around the society and it was sight to behold! To commemorate the occasion, the students of DLFWS also planted some trees in the housing complex. Senior students made badges, leaflets, paper bags, banners and posters and the younger ones sported headbands and wrist bands. Thereafter, the students visited the market and distributed leaflets, paper bags, and badges to the shopkeepers and market goers, as a silent protest against the use of plastics. The students appealed to the shopkeepers and buyers to stop using plastics as it is slowly choking our earth. The rally was quite successful.
