As the common adage goes, the future of a country lies in the hands of its children and teachers, as mentors, can mould students into future leaders who shape the destiny of the country. Teachers play a pivotal role in the students’ life to make them successful in career and business. They help them to become a good human being, a better member of the society and an ideal citizen of the country. In India, Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year on 5th September to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned scholar and great teacher, Dr. SarvepalliRadhakrishnan. It is one such event for which teachers and students equally look forward to.Teachers' Day is important for the students as it gives them a chance to understand the efforts put in by their teachers to ensure that they get proper education. Similarly, teachers also look forward to Teachers’ Day celebration as their efforts get recognised and honoured by students. Like every year, this year also the Delfites at DLF World School graced this occasion with a beautiful and grand celebration. This year was essentially special as the students cordially welcomed the new School Head Ms. Dimple Puri, who joined the institution. The students arranged for a special assembly where they felicitated Ms.Puri along with their beloved teachers. They bestowed the teachers with special titles that were appreciated by one and all. It was followed by a brief yet lovely presentation and dance performances. The active participation of students from classes III-X made the event a big success.The Executive Director Dr Mrignaini also expressed heartfelt gratitude on the behalf of school management towards the tireless efforts put up by the team of teachers. The event was culminated by the School Heads’ speech of gratitude for the students of DLFWS, where she acknowledged the efforts and wonderful endeavour of the students and also motivated them to keep up the good work for the upcoming occasions. Overall it was a captivating event for everyone in the school.
